印度新德里，7月18日 — 絕食抗議20天的印度社會活動家索南·旺楚克（Sonam Wangchuk）因健康狀況惡化，於週六被德里警方強制送往醫院。旺楚克自6月28日起開始絕食，要求印度教育部長辭職，理由是其涉嫌在醫學考試中存在舞弊行為。

據英國《衛報》（The Guardian）報導，現年59歲的旺楚克透過絕食，旨在抗議印度現行的考試制度。與此同時，Cockroach Janta 派對的創始人阿比吉特·迪普克（Abhijeet Dipke）已接替旺楚克，開始無限期絕食。
