美國國務卿盧比歐與印度外長蘇杰生會晤時強調，美方絕不容忍在荷莫茲海峽違反美國封鎖的行為，所有商船應立即配合美軍命令以維護安全。對此，印度籍船員蘇雷什日前在阿曼外海遭空襲身亡，其遺孀正尋求印度政府協助，盼能指引其應對複雜的船東互保協會保險索賠與法律訴訟。

印度阿薩姆邦內閣決定，即日起成年人申辦身分識別碼「阿達爾卡」（Aadhaar）須經過特別審查，以防非法移民取得身分。省長指出，該邦阿達爾卡登記率已達飽和，部分地區甚至因外來人口登記而達到115%。

印度執法局針對基層貪腐展開行動，前往基層政黨草根國大黨（Trinamool）議員米特拉住所搜索並進行偵訊。他涉嫌在多個市政機構中，收受黃金與現金以換取為不符資格的候選人安排工作。

南印安得拉邦內爾勒地區遭遇強風暴雨襲擊，導致部分地區降雨量高達53毫米。強風將大型看板吹落至電線上，造成內爾勒市區等地大範圍電力中斷，民生用電受到嚴重影響。
