據 Al-Monitor 引述路透社報導，伊朗總統佩澤什基安（Masoud Pezeshkian）與阿布達比王儲哈立德（Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed）於 9 月 12 日在印度新德里舉行的金磚國家峰會場邊會面。這次會晤是自伊朗戰爭爆發以來，雙方最高層級的接觸。雙方簽署了由金磚國家集團發出的聯合宣告，共同呼籲在中東衝突中保持克制。新德里電視台（NDTV）等媒體亦報導了此次雙邊會談。
與會國家在宣告中表達對局勢的關切，後臺是中東衝突影響持續擴大。《南華早報》（SCMP）指出，此次會面恰逢沙烏地阿拉伯關閉其東西向主要輸油管線。該管線於 11 日遭無人機攻擊後停運，引發國際市場對石油供應的擔憂。
